The Canada Day event will be July 1st (Sunday)

This Canada Day, come enjoy a fun day filled with live multicultural music and performances, family-friendly activities and crafts, sweet treats and more. Admission and activities are FREE all day. From From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., all are welcome to attend an official Citizenship Ceremony, presented in partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Join nearly 50 immigrants as they take their final step towards becoming Canadians, and reaffirm your own citizenship as they take their oath. Throughout the day, take part in hands-on activities and watch live performances. This year’s celebrations feature All Nations Drum, the Maritime Centre for African Dance, Halifax Henna and more.
HBC Post-Ceremony events to be determined:
Our Summer BBQ is slated for August 18th.
Time: 15:30 and onwards (final time to be determined by the host)
Location: Brent Townsend’s Residence (address to be finalized if he completes his arrangements)
Hot dogs, hamburgers, ‘store’ salads, and soft drinks courtesy of HBC.
Bring any special ‘eats’ on your own (beef, poultry, fish, etc.)
Some club whiskies, a few beer, (and one half-bottle of gin) courtesy of HBC.
Bring any special beverages on your own. DRINK RESPONSIBLY !!
The next monthly meeting will be Thursday September 6th with a possible “Special Meeting” to finalize election/acclamation of officers.
